Cultural Survival supports a movement of empowered Indigenous Peoples organizing their communities to engage the international processes, national policies and human rights bodies to respect, protect, and fulfill their rights.
An artisan breadmaker works a traditional earthen oven in the village of Yolboyu near Kars, northeast Turkey. This region of the world is one of the centers of origin of wheat, stewarded here by Indigenous farmers over millennia.
