ABOUT THE CAUSE

Cultural Survival

Cultural Survival supports a movement of empowered Indigenous Peoples organizing their communities to engage the international processes, national policies and human rights bodies to respect, protect, and fulfill their rights.
This weaver in Northern Bhutan, who crafts local cotton into traditional gowns to trade with neighbors and other villagers, is part of a thriving local culture with traditional social safety nets. This type of system creates cultural and economic resilience in this tiny country that forms the foundation of its celebrated indicator of Gross National Happiness. This image will be printed on demand onto premium photo luster paper, and sent to you ready to frame and hang.
