Konso is one of those rare parts of the planet where the people thrive fully from the land and local resources, taking what the land has to offer and holding it sacred in return. The Konso are also one of the few cultures in Sub-Saharan Africa that practice terraced agriculture. What’s more, they offer one of the only beer-drinking experiences that involves a little chewing to get it down.
